About MASHUP-Stories Into Song
MASHUP-Stories Into Songs is an entirely new show that combines two of the most popular art forms in a unique way. Songwriters Jude Treder-Wolff and Wells Hanley find compelling stories and write a song inspired by each one. Stories are told by people from all walks of life, ages and backgrounds, from professional writers and performers to people who found the courage to shape a true life experience into a story for the stage, . These songs are not a re-telling of the story - they pick up on a theme, a feeling, and energy from the story and build a great song with it. The songwriting team then finds a singer who is a match for the song's style and feeling. The story and song are performed together. Each show has a mix of deep emotion, comedy, and great ideas explored in the most entertaining way.
